This collection of videos can help clarify and describe the practice and what to expect along the way. I especially liked this one as it’s clear and concise that the approach is scientific, empirical and yet can lead to unexpected, but not unwelcome places. They talk about returning to and being “Home”.That resonates with me as this happened for me early on in the practice and the SRIN moved from problematic negative self-suffering to innocuous, commentary and mild judgment, where it remains today. I am actively working to end even that SRIN, as the stillness and “pure consciousness” experiences are worth pursuing. This is worth a watch, as they talk about stopping compulsive news and social media feed watching – which I did early on and using self-inquiry throughout the day to break up the thoughtstream and “reset’ the internal computer, which I am starting to do more frequently. Actually, anything to break up the thoughtstream can work during the day, but the self-inquiry is easy to do anytime you wish.
